The Game, Mrs. Hudson, is on!

Yes, this season is getting interesting day by day. It would be unfair on my part if I don't accept that yes this season has started at a very lower pace. Not up to the expectations in comparison to the previous season.
But HOPE is not just a four letter word.
This is the Placement Season in NIFTEM and everyone in the final year batch have it in their minds everyday, "Ye CRD waale kya kar rahe hain?", "Company bulaao na yaar!!!", "Package, Location, JD, Bonds? ".

Amid that, I faced my second interview for the placements day before yesterday. It is a beer manufacturing company. My parents didn't want me to enter into alcoholic sector until the night before the interview day. I was also sure not to go ahead, quite convinced about it and never argued. I watched India losing to England that evening after a long time, came back to my room and started repairing my laptop. And that is when my father asked to sit for the interview and go on with it. I was thoughtless for sometime. Then I called up my seniors and asked them about this industry, Sneha ma'am helped me a lot in that and also gave me the books to study even after the hostels were closed. I studied after a long non-studying streak that night, quite calm, repairing laptop on the other hand and WhatsApp. No sleep that night and I don't know why.
In the morning I was quite sure that I would get it there was no tension kind of thing. It was 2 o'clock and my turn came. I hand him the single greatest work of fiction known to man: my resume. During the interview, I was very very nervous, though I answered everything well but I was literally stammering and that's when Interviewer offered me the water and asked me to relax.
I was sure that I won't get it now, I sat in the office. removed my coat and the tie and started working to divert my thoughts. Thought of playing Asphalt during the lecture but it didn't work. Three cups of tea in a matter of one hour didn't work because it was a thought of rejection in the interview again. Results weren't out though. The thoughts escalated to a stage where was trying to figure out, the reasons for rejection in ITC and now.
I could have gone back to the room, but as usual, I like to sit back in the office and face it.
At 5, Shortlist was announced, I didn't even go outside to give an ear to that since I was in my own world, damn sure of not getting selected.
But I guess somewhere interviewers know that nervousness happens even if one is answering correctly. Yeah, I got selected, and I was numb. On the other hand pursuing my teammates to talk it out with the Corporates that they shouldn't leave 3 vacancies vacant and shortlist a few more of my friends.
Although it didn't work out that way.
I called my parents, they were happy and are happy still seeing my happiness. All and all it took me sometime to get my body loose and begin thinking again. Ofcourse it is a feeling worth waiting for. So many things used to in my mind that I will do this and that when I get selected for a job. And believe me, I was numb. So many thoughts passing in every fraction of a second but you can't keep a record of them.

My nights, before and after this, were sleepless, but with the later one was with the new set of thoughts.
So much to express yet this naive writer is unable to pen it down.

P.S: I edited it completely just because of this one shot on a day before I was supposed to post this blog.

I'm eagerly waiting to feel the same numbness as you soon!
I love how you express yourself in writing. It is much better than when you actually talk in person.
